Objectives for the week of November 2nd-5th

In math we will be working on adding and subtracting fractions.  Students have been doing a great job of understanding the abstract concepts presented in any manipulation of numbers with fractions.  These are difficult concepts but the class is up to the challenge.  If you want enrichment at home practice problems such as these three.

Students will be expected to know how to find a common denominator by renaming the fraction using a least common multiple.  When they have done that they will perform the operation by adding or subtracting the numerator and leaving the denominator the same.  They should be able to show the answers using a model and the algorithm.
